メールマガジンでは skull を取り上げました。
頭蓋骨・・・ま、どくろです。
で、どくろといえばこれ。

A skull and crossbones is a picture of a human skull above a pair of crossed bones which warns of death or danger. It used to appear on the flags of pirate ships and is now sometimes found on containers holding poisonous substances.

海賊のトレードマークです。
どくろの絵の下に骨が2本クロスしているヤツ。
今、そんなわかりやすい海賊はいないと思いますが、今でも毒物や危険物の入った容器にも書かれている・・・と思います。

海賊の髑髏旗、英語(スラング？)でJolly Rogerっていうんですよね。
いまとなってはあまりにもベタなデザインだけど、やっぱりちょっとワクワクします。
なにかと、若い子の着る物や履く物に付いてますね。
パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアンのせいですかねぇ・・・。
