なんか、おっさん丸出しのタイトルですが、別に意味はありません（笑）。

なんとなく思い浮かんだので、ちょっと書いてみたかっただけです（爆）。

メールマガジンで取り上げた flame に関して、old flame という言い回しを英英辞典で見てみましょう。

someone with whom you used to have a romantic relationship
(LDOCE)

An old flame is someone with whom you once had a romantic relationship.

以前、romantic relationship があった人のことのようですね。

ロマンティックといえばCCB・・・じゃなくて、今田・・・でもなくて（今日はおっさん全開だな）

relating to feelings of love or a loving relationship

Someone who is romantic or does romantic things says and does things that make their wife, husband, girlfriend, or boyfriend feel special and loved.

ご想像通りというか、当たり前の意味です。

でも、なんとなく、いわゆる恋愛に関するイメージが強いのですが、こんな意味もあります。

romantic ideas are not practical or not based on reality
- opposite realistic

If you say that someone has a romantic view or idea of something, you are critical of them because their view of it is unrealistic and they think that thing is better or more exciting than it really is.

なんとなくわかりにくいかもしれませんが、じっくり読むと「現実的なものとはちょっとかけ離れている」ということです。

空想的な、非現実的なってことですね。

ま、恋愛しているときなんて、ある意味非現実的な時期ですからね（遠い目（笑））。
