投資するっていうことは

メールマガジンでは investment を取り上げました。
「投資」ですね。
この動詞が invest です。
今日はこれを見てみましょう。

to buy shares, property, or goods because you hope that the value will increase and you can make a profit

If you invest in something, or if you invest a sum of money, you use your money in a way that you hope will increase its value, for example by paying it into a bank, or buying shares or property.

ま、こんなところですね。
目を引くかもしれないのは、Windows のおかげでおなじみになった「プロパティ」という単語。
Windows の上だと「特性」とかっていう言葉が一番しっくり来るのかな。
でも、ここではおかしいですね。

所有物、財産といった感じですね。
