メールマガジンでは outlet を取り上げました。
アウトレットモールではなくて、（電気の）コンセントという意味でしたね。
その説明文に出てきた supply を見てみましょう。
[supply]
to provide people with something that they need or want, especially regularly over a long period of time
(LDOCE)
If you supply someone with something that they want or need, you give them a quantity of it.
(COBUILD)
必要とされているものを提供すること。
普通は「供給する」っていいますね。
供給といえば需要。
[demand]
to ask for something very firmly, especially because you think you have a right to do this
(LDOCE)
If you demand something such as information or action, you ask for it in a very forceful way.
(COBUILD)
firmly は、「なんとしてでも」という感じでしょうか。
